Hotel Information: Occupying a deeply set site leading to Banderas Bay, the Riu Jalisco All Inclusive features a formal, geometric Spanish/Moorish style, including a central garden containing a long, twin-fountain pond flanked by rows of Royal Palms. Below is a plaza bordered on one side by a stage with covered seating and on the other side by a disco. The resort draws both couples and families from North America and Europe.

Insider tip: The shopping/dining village of Bucerias north of the resort can be reached by walking approximately 2.5 kilometers (1.5 mi) along the beach rather than driving 7 km (4.5 mi) on the highway.

The Riu Jalisco All Inclusive offers 700 guestrooms and suites in a six-story, elaborately decorated Spanish/Moorish building featuring a lobby with a bright-pink fountain courtyard and yellow-and-gray arches and a roof ornamented with blue-and-white-tile pyramids. Balconies and ground-floor terraces furnished with chairs and cocktail tables provide garden views.
Decor and furnishings include pastel walls, tile floors, marble bathrooms with twin-sink granite vanities, and chairs and tables. Wood-paddle ceiling fans offer an alternative to rooms and suites' air conditioning. Four-bottle liquor dispensers supply rum, tequila, vodka, and gin. Minibars are stocked with beer, soft drinks, and water.
